The Great Migration I
Nwando Ebeledike is a travel documentary photographer inspired by otherness/alternative realities, finding various diverse ways of life across continents and merging these various realities to tell a global story.
I photographed The Great Migration in 2019. During the great migration, several animals round-trip trek from Tanzania's Serengeti to the Masai Mara in Kenya. The herds make the 1,200-mile oval circuit with two things in mind: food and water. The animals photographed included four of The Big Five game animals - the lion, leopard, elephant and cape buffalo. The term was coined by big-game hunters, and refers to the five most difficult animals in Africa to hunt on foot. I camped out in the reserve with the community while I completed this series.
