NWANDO

The Mursi tribe are a pastoral and nomadic tribe that live in the Mago National Park in the Omo Valley region in Southern Ethiopia. 


As a Mursi woman approaches adulthood, her lips are cut to signify growth and the older she gets, larger lip plates are introduced. I was told that the larger the lip plate, the more attractive the woman is for marriage
